Le projet de téléchirurgie RALTT a été initié en 2005 par le Professeur Jacques Hubert, chirurgien urologue au CHRU de Nancy, après avoir reçu un soutien officiel du CHRU au titre de projet innovant. Ce projet consiste à étudier la faisabilité de certaines techniques opératoires de chirurgie par robot piloté manuellement à distance entre deux sites hospitaliers (Téléchirurgie).
